G&M to Shoot Movie This Fall

Manhattan Beach–On the heels of the recent announcement by Burger King’s agency Crispin Porter Bogusky, G&M today announced plans for their own feature film. Like Crispin, the agency hasn’t yet finalized a script, arranged financing, attached talent, secured distribution, or for that matter have had any interest from any studio.
“We hope to shoot this fall,” said a G&M spokesman. “We don’t know what it will be but that’s certainly not stopping us from making a formal announcement to the press,” he added.
G&M initially had hoped to have had more details worked out before making a statement to the press but said given Crispin’s publicity about their intentions for a film, “we just decided to make the announcement before we had anything worked out,” said the spokesperson.
Regarding a tie in to a client, the agency hasn’t gotten that far. “Really, we have no idea what the film will be about yet so we cannot comment on the inclusion of branded entertainment,” stated the spokesperson. “Again, we had hoped to have a lot of these things thought out before we went to the press,” he added.
In the press release from G&M the only detail about the film was “we thought Wedding Crashers was a good movie. Maybe it’ll be like that. Or not.”
