G&M Summer Picnic and Gun Show, Huge Success
El Segundo–Local production company G&M Plumbing celebrated its first year in business with a summer picnic and gun show Saturday afternoon. Organizers for the event say it was a huge success.
“We wanted to give our employees a chance to relax with co-workers and at the same time get a look at some exciting new firearms that are on the market,” said G&M Co-founder Glenn Miller. “Combining the employee barbecue with a gun show seemed like a great way to do both,” he added.
G&M staffers were able to help themselves to hamburgers and hotdogs while browsing the selection of long range, armor piercing bullets and untraceable shell casings. Said one G&M employee, “The picnic was fun, I got a chance to get to know my co-workers a little better, and I picked up a box of hollow points for my sidearm.”
Co-founder Mickey Taylor said the company is considering making it a yearly event. “The response was overwhelming,” he said.”Some of our employees never thought about owning a weapon before, but after experiencing the power and invincibility of holding a pump action shotgun in their hands, they can’t wait to begin amassing their very own arsenal.”
Account Foreman, Lisa Williams agrees. “I used to be a liberal to the core. I was a anti-gun activist for years. But the G&M summer picnic has opened my eyes to whole new world of legal and illegal weaponry.”
The company is currently planning its annual Christmas party but is undecided as to the theme. Mr. Miller said “We’re thinking the Holiday party would be a good time to introduce our staff to the exciting sport of professional cock fighting.”
