G&M Attend Convention. Get Picture Taken with Disinterested Pro Wrestler.

El Segundo–Principals from G&M Plumbing attended the Electronic Arts Expo last Friday where they posed for a picture with WWF Superstar Mick Foley, also known as Mankind.

The G&M trio was seated in the West Hall having lunch when they spotted the wrestler, who was there to promote a new video game, walking toward their table. Immediately they jumped up and approached Mr. Foley for a photograph.

“I got the sense that he wasn’t thrilled about having his picture taken with us,” says Glenn Miller, Co-Creative Director. “He just sort of stood there and didn’t try to make conversation.”

“I even pointed out that we have the same name,” added Mickey Taylor, Co-Creative Director, “but he just grunted like it wasn’t a big deal.”

Witnesses say the group photo took about 30 seconds and then the wrestler merely continued on his way without saying a word to the G&M team. They also say that it did indeed appear that Mr. Foley would have rather been somewhere else at the time.

Account Foreman, Lisa Williams recalls the short encounter saying “Mr. Foley was probably just tired or maybe he had a headache, because otherwise I’m sure he would have been joking around with us and telling us stories about the WWF.

“Mr. Foley issued this statement, “I posed for thousands of pictures that day, I don’t even remember the one you’re talking about.

“In light of the less than enthusiastic meeting with the wrestler, G&M says they are prepared to put the whole ugly incident behind them. “What’s done is done, we only hope that in the future, he could at least smile for photos, that’s all we wanted,” says Glenn Miller.
